Shop ban on high-strength booze cuts street drinking crime by 50%

A town's ban on the sale of super strength lager and cider has led to a 50 per cent fall in reports of anti-social behaviour, police disclosed yesterday, leading to dozens of other boroughs expressing interest in adopting the scheme.
