Bromo-DragonFLY

AKA: Dragonfly, B-fly

BACKGROUND:

First synthesised in 1998. First reported use in 2001. Identified use in Italy, Norway, Belgium and Finland in 2008.

LEGAL STATUS:

Illegal. Class A under the Misuse of Drugs Act (1971)

EFFECTS:

A powerful psychedelic/hallucinogen, similar to LSD. When ingested it takes a long time before effects are felt and can last for two to three days. Adverse effects include nausea and vomiting, headaches, high blood pressure, muscle tension, body temperature fluctuations, and stomach upsets.

RISKS:

Anxiety, panic attacks, paranoia, heart problems, and convulsions. Bromo-Dragonfly is a very toxic substance with a high risk of overdose. Hospitalisations and fatalities have been recorded.

As yet unknown.
